This class is held in our outdoor classroom, where learning happens immersed in the natural environment. Be prepared to spend the day outside and dress for the weather and changing conditions. Classes may include light walking over uneven ground, natural terrain, and woodland trails. Participants are encouraged to bring a packed lunch, snacks, plenty of water, and anything needed to stay comfortable while training in the field.
Our classroom is a true off-grid setting with simple, rustic amenities—including an open-air outhouse, offering an authentic field experience.

Dive into the fascinating world of foraging in this comprehensive class focused on identifying and gathering edible and medicinal wild plants. Guided by experienced instructors, participants will learn how to recognize safe and sustainable sources of food in their local ecosystems. The course will cover plant identification, ethical harvesting practices, and preparation methods for enjoying your foraged finds. You’ll also discover the nutritional benefits and culinary uses of various wild edibles. This hands-on experience will deepen your connection to nature, enhance your outdoor skills, and inspire you to incorporate wild ingredients into your meals.
We will finish the day by using some of the plants we harvest to make a beeswax salve that you will get to bring home and use!
