Basics of Wilderness Survival

Throughout the course, participants will learn a variety of crucial survival skills, including how to build a shelter using natural materials, start and maintain a fire, and locate safe drinking water. Emphasis will be placed on practical, hands-on experiences, allowing you to practice these skills in real-world scenarios.
A significant portion of the course will focus on developing a survival mindset, including risk assessment, decision-making under pressure, and the psychological aspects of surviving in the wild.

A Day in the Field:
This class is held in our outdoor classroom, where learning happens immersed in the natural environment. Be prepared to spend the day outside and dress for the weather and changing conditions. Classes may include light walking over uneven ground, natural terrain, and woodland trails. Participants are encouraged to bring a packed lunch, snacks, plenty of water, and anything needed to stay comfortable while training in the field.
Our classroom is a true off-grid setting with simple, rustic amenities—including an open-air outhouse, offering an authentic field experience.
